We’ve finally gotten a chance to inventory the equipment sent by our new sponsor, Hakko!
Light tables are expensive, with some models costing several hundred dollars. After some investigation, we thought the team might be able to build light tables for significantly less. This is an overview of that process.
Since 2024 was our first year using swerve modules, we weren’t sure if the team could get them built and coded before competition, so we decided to hedge our bets by building a Mechanum-based drive-train in case swerve didn’t pan out.
Following last year’s convention, this robot was named after a mentor and student who shared a first name: “Jesse Delta”.
